Overview Dashboard

The Workforce Overview is the first page you see when you log in to Senzo. It shows the current state of your workforce across all key metrics — updated with each data upload.

Page structure

The Overview is organized into eight sections, each surfacing a different dimension of workforce health:
  1. KPI tiles — the four headline metrics at the top
  2. Workforce Trend — a 12-month chart of headcount, FTE, vacancies, or rates
  3. Labor Cost Analytics — a summary of labor spend with a link to the full Cost Analytics page
  4. Wellbeing Alerts — units with elevated Burnout Risk Index scores
  5. Emerging Risks — units where multiple metrics are trending toward thresholds
  6. Top Actions — prioritized recommended actions based on current data
  7. Workforce Breakdown tables — by facility, sector, and provider type
  8. Workforce Composition — expandable sector/facility/unit breakdown with proportional bar

KPI tiles

The four headline tiles show your organization’s current period values:
TileMetricSub-metrics
Total WorkforceHeadcountFTE / Positions
Vacancy RateFTE Vacancy %Unfilled positions count, trend
Overtime RateOT hours as % of worked hoursOT hours, trend
Absence RateAbsence hours as % of scheduledTrend
Each tile includes a sparkline showing 6-month trend and a vs. last month change indicator. Clicking any KPI tile opens the detailed analysis page for that metric (Vacancy Analysis, Overtime Analysis, Absence Analysis, Workforce Analysis).

Workforce Trend chart

A bar chart showing the selected metric over the last 12 months. Switch between:
  • Headcount
  • FTE
  • Positions
  • Vacancies
  • OT Rate
  • Absence Rate
The dashed reference line shows the 12-month average.

Monthly / Annual toggle

The toggle in the top right switches the entire Overview between monthly and annual period views. Monthly shows current-month metrics; Annual shows the full-year picture. Below the Wellbeing Alerts card, a “Manage alert rules →” link takes you to Alert Rules to configure thresholds and notification rules.

Top Actions

The Top Actions card surfaces 3–5 prioritized recommended actions based on current metric values:
  • Actions are generated automatically from threshold breaches
  • High priority (red badge): metrics above critical threshold
  • Medium priority (grey badge): metrics above warning threshold
  • Each action includes a one-line rationale with the relevant metric value

Workforce Breakdown tables

Three side-by-side tables showing headcount, FTE, positions, vacancy, and OT rate:
  • By Facility — compare sites
  • By Sector — compare clinical sectors
  • By Provider Type — compare staff categories
Values highlighted in teal or red indicate they exceed thresholds.

Workforce Composition

An expandable section at the bottom showing the proportional mix of your workforce by sector, facility, or unit. Click any row to expand and see the unit-level breakdown within that sector or facility.
